AWESOME OLD VINTAGE BUT EXCELLENT CONDITION BOYD BRAND, RENO, NEVADA, USA HIGHLY ENGRAVED STERLING SILVER OVERLAY WESTERN BELT BUCKLE CONTAINING A GENUINE 1921 MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR COIN—
This pre-owned silver dollar buckle will look and work FANTASTIC on your belt. It is a very impressive and new looking buckle that features high detailed engraving that the Boyd Company was well known for. Overlay means that a heavy layer of sterling silver was BONDED, not electroplated to the buckle surfaces, resulting in a buckle that gives the full appearance of a sterling buckle and much improved durability vs. plated buckles. This is an exceptionally nice one. There is a slight bend to the peg portion, as our photos show, but it does not affect the buckle’s use at all. The measurements are about 4” x 2 3/8” and it fits belts up to 1 1/2” wide. The total weight on our scale is 3.1 ounces.
