Vintage Owens Illinois 1939 Clear Glass Bottle With Quilted Ribbed Pattern Food
Based on research thinking this could be used for a food item,
perhaps ketchup, salad dressing vinegar, or something similar.
Ribbed quilted pattern or corn cob pattern halfway up the bottle
A round bottle that gets skinner as it gets taller
Clear glass
Threaded top for cap
Embossed iconic "Owens Illinois" symbol on the bottom - "I" inside "O" with a diamond around it
The bottom is marked with "18" to the left of the logo and a "9"
18 stands for the Columbus, Ohio plant
9 stands for the date (1939)
1939 embossed below the logo

This is a vintage condition, pre-owned item that shows signs of wear. T
he overall condition is good, with minor wear on the bottle. No cracks, no chips. Item does not come with original box or packaging.
