Unusual Vintage Women's Reverse Denim Jeans Pants Suit, Xers by Fashionplate, 2X

Description

This is an unusual women's vintage two-piece denim pants suit, probably from the 1970's. Most of the suit was created using the lighter reverse side of the denim, with the darker denim side used as trim. Both pieces have overall red trim stitching. The short cropped jacket has a banded waist, pointed collar, metal rivet buttons which say 'Xers jeans' on the front closure and two breast pocket flaps. Marked size 2X, laid flat the jacket measures 22" armpit to armpit, 21" shoulder to waist, and 23" shoulder seam to sleeve edge. Sleeve is not cuffed but can be rolled as desired to reveal the darker denim underside. The traditional style jeans pants have belt loops, two riveted front pockets + a watch pocket, and contrasting back pockets. Waist is 34" and leg is 46" long with a 35" inseam, and legs can also be rolled or cuffed to show the darker denim. Labeled Xers by Fashionplate, it is 100% heavyweight cotton denim, made in USA. Marked dry clean only but could probably be washed with care. It is in overall good condition but does have several fair size stains on the front of both the jacket and pants, and I don't know if these will come out.
