I was born near the town of Marostica (Italy). Marostica is famous all over the world for the chess game it carries out every other year, with living chess pieces in the city public square. This has to be the subconscious reason that I have been always fascinated with Tridimensional Chessboards. This Chessboard is the 4
th
different layout version that I built and I think the quintessential version. This is the only example built and there won’t be another one.
It is basically solid wood and the 2.5” squares are squares of vinyl tiles used in flooring. In all aspects it is a piece of art.
