Proudly imported from Europe, The King's Small wood chess set has been handcrafted and hand-finished out of the finest sycamore natural and stained wood. It’s design is wholly original, but at the same time features the same look and feel of a traditional Staunton pattern chess set, allowing for immediate recognition and use. It’s the perfect combination of artistic flair and functionality. In keeping true with it’s European heritage, the King and Queen pieces feature crowns that are made of  the opposing wood type, providing a beautiful color contrast.
The complimentary chess board has been designed to provide the perfect amount of contrast for the sycamore natural and stained chess pieces, and has a rich lacquered finish. The perimeter of the chess board features the traditional rank and file labels, and it can be folded in half for easy storage. Inside the chess board are two compartments for storing each of the chess pieces when not in use, providing a high level of protection.
NOTE - All European Collection Chess Sets are made from renewable plantation wood, making them eco friendly.
