    A beautiful gloss finished red and white chess set, in the modern style preferred in international tournaments.
    Although red and white chessmen are especially striking in the 21st century, the color combination was actually very popular in past centuries, and was specifically illustrated in Nathaniel Cook's 1849 copyright pages of the original Staunton chessmen.
