    FANTASTIC RARE & PRISTINE GIST BRAND AMERICAN HANDCRAFTED & HAND ENGRAVED SIERRA STERLING SILVER HORSE RACING & JOCKEY THEMED BELT BUCKLE—
    This old GIST brand buckle is in extremely good condition for its age. The saddle cloth #2 horse & jockey appear to be heavy gold plated or gold filled and the “Sierra Silver” designation was used by GIST during the 1970’s through 1980’s period to indicate buckles made of sterling silver. So when you see “Sierra Silver” stamped on an old Gist buckle, it’s synonymous with “Sterling Silver”.  This one has high detail hand engraving, and as we said, the horse & rider image shine like gold. It is a rarity, as very few of these GIST specialty custom made buckles from this era ever come to market. Folks like collecting and holding on to them…..and why not….they are some of the highest quality American made buckles you will ever come across. This one measures 2 5/8” x 1 3/4”, fits belts up to 1 1/4” wide and weighs 55 grams or 2 ounces on our scale. It shows some very minor tarnish and signs of use…..but very little, as our many photos show. The new owner of this buckle will treasure it for a lifetime. Shipped USPS first class package, insured.
