    Description

    Extremely rare
    SOTA Toys Aliens gold-plated chess set.  Board is in excellent condition and opens up to serve as a storage area for the pieces.  The pieces are in great shape and have markers on them so you can tell what rank they are.  The pieces are delicate and some wear and tear is visible (close-ups included in pictures):
    1) One of the alien bishops is missing the tip of its tail.  Was like that when I purchased.
    2) The Alien queen had her tail repaired (right figure in the king/queen rear view picture)
    3) Some of the pieces are showing slight tarnish where the figure is welded to its base.  This can be remedied by a goldsmith if desired.
    Will ship insured (I will pay for insurance) in the box I received when I purchased it.  It came from Italy originally, and the pieces made it ok, so that box should still be suitable for shipment.
    I looked for this set for a few years before finding it.  They are just not out there and it's a beautiful and large set.  The board is 19 x 19" at it's base.  The figures range from 2 - 5" and the whole set weighs about 50 pounds.
