New Silver Black Nut & Bolt Chess Set Men Piece Steam Punk (Board Not Included)

Description

New Nut & Bolt Chess Set (Board Not Included). Complete chess set (32 pieces), with black felt on bottom of each piece. Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
The set contains nearly 300 individual nuts, bolts, and washers. The base of each piece has two thick washers (1-inch diameter), to give a nice solid weight and help keep the pieces from tipping.

Pawn 1-1/4”
Rook 1-3/4”
Knight 2-1/4”
Bishop 2-1/4”
Queen 3”
King 3-1/4”
Black pieces are painted - Satin Black
Silver pieces are painted - Metallic Satin Nickel
I made these pieces myself. I wanted to make pieces where the individual pieces were selected to more mimic a standard chess set, than a typical nut & bolt chess set.
Pawn - Cap nuts were placed on the top of short bolts, to match the ball shaped top of typical pawns.
Rook (Castle) - Castellated nuts were used atop the rooks to match the look of a castle turret. Insert nuts were selected to sleeve the internal bolt, to give a tapered stone look.
Knight (Horse) - Open eye-bolts were selected to resemble a horse head. Excess thread length was cut off each eye-bolt to maintain proper scale between the height of the various pieces.
Bishop - Cap nuts with wing nuts, which flare downward, were chosen, to give the typical look of a standard bishop with it’s conical top.
Queen - More pieces were used to outfit this piece than any other. Enough said.
King - The crown was made with a castellated nut and star washer. The cross atop the crown was made by cutting the pan head off of a Phillips head sheet metal screw. Another star washer was placed below the head to mimic a fancy collar.
All pieces are solidly bolted together, with the exception of the base washers and cross atop the king. The base washers and cross are super glued, to the bolted part of the piece.
