A CLASSIC CHINESE GAME
One of the great games of hidden piece values, LuZhanQi is closely related to Stratego, and also the simpler children's game Dou Shou Qi (the Jungle Game).
The game can be complicated, with the various pieces and their rank values. Fortunately, this set makes learning the values easy with very distinctive characters for each rank. As a helpful aid, the instruction booklet lays out the various pieces in clear order, for quick reference throughout the game.
For more experienced (and Chinese) players, the pieces do include the original Chinese names along with the faces of each piece.
TRAVEL SET - NOT MAGNETIC
Please note that this set is not magnetic. It is very convenient for travel, but would not play well in a moving vehicle.
A QUALITY MODERN SET
This is a good quality, made of durable plastic with a printed metal surface board.
The board measures 12 1/2 by 10 3/4 inches when open to play.
The pieces are solid plastic, with broad bases and taper toward the tops.  They are 1 inch wide and 3/4 inches high.

The rule booklet for this LuZhanQi set has been specially adapted for the cute-face pieces in this delightful "children's edition."
