This vintage hand made buckle is bursting with color and depth. A beautiful array of 17 turquoise stones protrude off the top of this thick hearty buckle. Each stone has just the right amount of matrixes to match up perfectly with its neighboring stone. They have strong vivid shades of mostly blue with a few green mixed in. The matrixes are mostly black with a few thin matrixes of light tan.
The front outer edge of the buckle is raised and has deep classic hand stampings along with a thin twisted rope bordering the inner edge. The stones sit raised on the front of the buckle in sawtooth bezels over a very dark oxidized plate of silver. Silver flower appliqués adorn the east and west side of the buckle while the center portrays the largest stone of the mix. The center stone is then surrounded with twisted rope and half circle cutouts giving a scalloped design. Silver droplets rest between each scalloped cutout. A beautifully made design with so much appeal.
The swivel belt keeper on the back of the buckle is also all original and in MINT condition.
Buckle measures: 2 1/8 tall by 3 ½ across and weighs approximately 89.0 grams
