deluxe wooden chess set
is handcrafted by skilled artisans in the Carpathian Mountains in Eastern Europe who follow the finest traditions in wood carvings using Hornbeam (sometimes known as Ironwood) and Sycamore woods from the forests of Eastern Europe.  Hornbeam is mostly white and is used for intricate and decorative carvings.  Sycamore offers a textured wood perfect for the dark pieces.
The King in this
deluxe wooden chess set
is 4.33 inches tall  and the chess board is 21" x 21" and all the pieces are individually handcrafted and of large size.  It is decorated on the borders for display at home or in the office. A truly deluxe, royal chess set!
The folding chess board lays flat and is 21" by 21", it has burned ornaments and an insert tray for the chess pieces inside. The board is made from beach and birch wood.  This

folds to store the pieces, when folded it is 21" x 10.5"
The borders of this
deluxe wooden chess set
are carved in an intricate design with brass hinges for easy closure.  The interior of the storage compartment is lined with green felt and each piece is compartmentalized for easy set up.
There are NO lead weights in these pieces, they are all solid wood!
