Very nice and not often available photo – from the 1977 49
th
Annual Academy Awards – of Peter Finch’s widow, Eletha Barret, accepting her late husband’s Best Actor Oscar for his performance in “Network.”
At the time Finch was the first actor to win the Oscar posthumously. (Heath Ledger would become the second.)
This black and white 8 x 10 photo was issued by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and bears its stamp on the back. Limited numbers of this image were sent out to members of the media.
This photo is in excellent condition.
