Up for your consideration is a Hopi overlay belt buckle by the well-known artist, Bernard
Dawahoya
. This is an amazing buckle that has a four bear paws and other designs. It's a very well done buckle with crisp lines and textured back grounds. It is made using sterling silver.
MAKER: Hallmarked with the snow cloud mark of Bernard
Dawahoya
(1937-2010; Hopi). Active from 1950s-2010. In 1989 was declared  Arizona Indian Living Treasure and was a multiple award winner.
APPROX AGE: Circa 1970s - 80s.
SIZE: 3-5/8 inches wide X 2-5/8 inches tall. Fits a 1-5/8 inch belt. Weighs 87.7 grams.
CONDITION: Good for its age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
