Nigri Chess Set –Tartars v. Russians
Thismagnificent chess set depicts the battle of Kazan between the Tartars and theRussians.
It was issued by the famousItalian company Nigri in the ‘90s.
ModelSP-58 “Battaglia di Kazan Russi – Tatari.”
The pieces are fashioned from a hard resin, hand painted and finishedwith clear acrylic.
The detail isincredible.
The king stands 5.1/2” tall
The board is not included
. Noboard was issued with this set, the board shown has 2.1/2” squares and waspurchased separately from the House of Staunton.

Myfather (a long-time member of CCI (Chess Collectors International) built hiscollection of chess sets with pride over many years and cared for each setmeticulously. But now, sadly, with advancing age, he has decided to part withhis prized sets for others to enjoy.
