The U.S. Mint has issued 2021-dated versions of two of the most symbolic silver dollar coins in U.S. coinage history in honor of the 100th Anniversary of their momentous transition. In 1921, the Morgan Dollar, which represented an era of growth and prosperity of the nation, was replaced by the Peace Dollar, which was issued to welcome the return to a time of peace following the destruction of the First World War. The Morgan Dollar was released annually from 1878-1904, then for a final year in 1921. The Peace Dollar was issued yearly from 1921-1928, then again in 1934 and 1935.
This set includes six 2021 dated coins, five Morgan Dollars and one Peace Dollar.
Each coin is crafted from 26.686 grams Troy oz. of .999 fine silver (a notable increase from the series' original .900 purity).
The Peace Dollar is a product of the Philadelphia Mint.
The Morgan Dollars were struck at the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco Mints.
Each silver dollar measures 38.10 mm in diameter.
The coins are minted with a spectacular Brilliant Uncirculated finish.
The coins will arrive in their original Mint packages.
The product limit of the Peace Dollar was set to just 200,000 pieces.
