1904 S Morgan Silver Dollar, Circulated

Description

This 1904-S Morgan dollar is in circulated condition.  The 1904-S is a rarer coin in the series, and this example is quite nice.  Despite the circulation wear, the obverse and reverse have retained quite a few details, and the dark toning in the fields gives a nice contrast to the devices.  This piece is free of notable scratches or gouges.  However, the bright devices indicate this piece was lightly wiped at some point in the past.  The cleaning wasn't harsh, and there doesn't appear to be evidence of abrasive scratching, but the visually attractive, contrasting toning does indicate this piece would grade cleaned.  The field toning is still quite beautiful, so if you collect raw, mostly naturally toned Morgans, this beautiful example would fit nicely in your set.  This coin was photographed under artificial lights set to mimic natural sunlight.
