This is an amazing example of an 1885 New Orleans Mint Morgan silver dollar, and is j
ust
as nice as you get! You just have to examine her, with the beautiful colorful toning, and virtually spotless, clean surfaces, on both the Fields and the Devices, and it should be clear that this will bring in a considerable premium. A Cleaning and surface scratches, or marks, just are not an issue with this beauty! I can’t guarantee any grade because it’s against eBay policy, but I’ve been collecting for about 55 years now, and this coin is not that difficult to figure out. It appears to be a GEM++, and although it doesn’t have an exceptional strike, this coin is still a monster, and is an investment grade coin.
At the base of the jaw on LIBERTY, near the ear, there are three spots that look like they could be gashes, but it is actually mark free and there
are
no gashes, just smooth surfaces
