Comments
This was one of the first coins struck for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The law of January 9, 1852, orders the manufacture of these coins and fixes its alloy at 95 hundredths of copper, 4 hundredths of tin and 1 hundredth of zinc. Coin quite common (except the year 1870 without a point), but it is difficult to find in a state higher than Very Fine.
